The Nectar Race fitness activity is the perfect way to teach your child about bees. Bees play a vital role in our ecosystem and it’s important to educate your kids about these hardworking insects. This activity is easy to set up and it can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of their age. So, grab your little one and get ready to buzz around with this Nectar Race activity!
You’ll need:
- Water,
- 2 basters or pipettes
- 4 cups
- Black marker
- Someone to play with
Draw a flower on two of the cups and draw a beehive on the other 2 cups.
Fill the flower cups with water – this is the nectar in the flower.
Put the flower cups with water on one side of the room and place the beehive cups on the other side of the room.
The objective of the game is to transfer the nectar from the flower cups to the beehive cups using the baster or pipettes. The first person to fill their beehive cup wins.
Before or after playing this game, you can teach your little one about the different roles of bees, including pollination and gathering nectar for honey. It’s a great way to make learning fun and interesting for your child.
