Kids love stickers but sometimes they end up in places they shouldn't be. What if you could let your child play with stickers without the worry of them ending up on the window or walls? Not only is this activity educational, but it also improves their cognitive skills, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Alphabet - Name - Numbers - Shapes
- White paper
- Tape (optional)
- Marker
- Round stickers
- Optional: Shape stickers
- Colors
ALPHABET
Write some letters of the alphabet on a piece of paper using a thick marker. Optional: tape the paper to the wall. Write the same letters on round stickers several times. Have your child peel a sticker and place it on the correct letter, outlining the letters with the stickers.
You can also use letter stickers.
Talk about the letter and their sounds. You can even play alphabet songs or a song specific to the letters you are doing while your child is doing the activity.
This activity not only helps children learn the alphabet but also improves their reading skills.
COLORS
Set out a variety of colored paper and give your child a page of colored stickers. Have your child match the color of the sticker to the same colored paper.
NAME

NUMBERS

You can also use number stickers.

You can say things like:
- Bees have one stinger
- We have two legs
- A triangle has three sides
- A dog has four legs
- We have five fingers
SHAPES
Draw some shapes on a piece of paper using a thick marker. Optional: tape the paper to the wall. Draw the same shapes on round stickers several times or use the shape stickers. Have your child peel a sticker and place it on the correct shape, outlining the shape with the stickers.
Talk about the shapes and where we see them.
Circles - sun, balloons, or balls.
Squares - buildings or houses.
Triangles - mountains or trees
