
WHAT YOU NEED:
Strainer
Large bowl
Blender
Pan
Small jars
Pink
1/4 c canned beets
1/2 c beet juice
Orange
Carrot juice
Yellow
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 c water
Green
1 c fresh spinach
1/2 c water
Blue
2 c red cabbage
1-1/2 c water
1/4 tsp baking soda
Purple
1/2 c frozen blueberries
1/3 c water
WHAT TO DO:
Pink
Blend the canned beets with the juice.
Strain.
Bottle in an air-tight jar.
Orange
Juice carrots.
Bottle in an air-tight jar.
Yellow
Simmer turmeric and water.
Bottle in an air-tight jar.
Green
Simmer spinach in water until wilted.
Blend.
Strain.
Bottle in an air-tight jar.
Blue
Simmer cabbage in water for about 15 minutes.
Strain.
Add baking soda a pinch at a time.
If the color isn't bold enough, simmer longer, reducing the liquid by half.
Bottle in an air-tight jar.
Purple
Blend blueberries and water.
Strain.
Bottle in an air-tight jar.
The food coloring will last 4-6 weeks, refrigerated and in an air-tight container.
