Teaching a preschooler about the calendar isn't the most exciting thing.  Preschool should be fun!  A fun education or an education that is geared towards what your child is interested in will help keep them motivated for the long haul!

Unit studies are great because they break up the monotony of regular learning.  Yes, ABCs and 123s are very important but, why not learn about real life at the same time?
