Your preschooler will be so happy to help you create these tasty patriotic popsicles! This simple yet exciting activity not only satisfies their sweet tooth but also serves as a way to introduce them to the colors and symbols that represent our country. Whether you're gearing up for a national holiday or just looking for a creative way to spend quality time together, making these popsicles is sure to be a hit with both you and your little one.

WHAT YOU NEED:

Red Layer:
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey, agave, or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon water, milk, yogurt, or coconut cream.
  • Or make it easy on yourself: Just use strawberries!
White Layer:
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla-flavored)
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey, agave, or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (if using plain yogurt)
  • Or make it easy on yourself: Just use ice cream!
Blue Layer:
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey, agave, or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon water, milk, yogurt, or coconut cream.

WHAT TO DO:
Prepare the Red Layer:
  • In a blender, combine all of the ingredients.  Blend until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a bowl and set it aside.
Prepare the White Layer:
  • In another bowl, mix all of the ingredients. 
  • Stir until well combined and set aside.
Prepare the Blue Layer:
  • In the blender (no need to clean it), combine all of the ingredients. Blend until smooth.
Assemble the Popsicles:
Start by pouring a layer of the red strawberry mixture into each mold, filling them about one-third of the way.
Next, add a layer of the white yogurt mixture on top of the red layer, filling another one-third of the mold.
Finally, pour the blueberry mixture on top to fill the molds to the brim.

Insert sticks and freeze.

Once frozen, pull them out and enjoy!
