Here is an easy and adorable way to do a Christmas handprint activity with your preschooler! Not only will your preschooler love getting their hands messy and using their creativity, but the end result will be something you can cherish for years to come.

One of the most classic handprint Christmas crafts is the Christmas tree.

WHAT YOU NEED:

WHAT TO DO:
Paint a brown stump at the bottom of the canvas. Then, have your child make three green handprints above the stump. Repeat this process with two handprints above the three, and the one handprint above the two will be yellow to create a star at the top of the tree.

OTHER IDEAS:
Another fun idea is to create handprint Christmas ornaments. All you need for this craft is some colorful cardstock, paint, and ribbon. Start by having your child make a handprint on the cardstock using whatever colors they’d like. Once the paint dries, cut around the handprint to create a Christmas shape, like a tree or a snowman. Punch a hole in the top, add a ribbon, and voila! You have an adorable homemade ornament to hang on your tree.

If you’re feeling extra festive, you can use your child’s handprint to create Santa Claus! For this craft, you’ll need red, white, and black paint, as well as a paintbrush and a canvas. Start by having your child make a red handprint on the canvas. Next, paint a white border around the handprint to create Santa’s beard and hair. Use black paint to create two dots for eyes, and a red dot for his nose. Finally, use white paint to create the fur lining on Santa’s hat. This craft is sure to bring a smile to your child’s face!

If you’re looking for a craft that’s a little more complex, try creating a handprint reindeer. For this craft, you’ll need brown, white, and black paint, a paintbrush, and a canvas. First, have your child make a brown handprint on the canvas. Paint a white belly and face around the handprint, then use black paint to create two dots for eyes and a nose. Finally, paint on two sets of antlers using brown paint. This craft is perfect for hanging on your wall or giving as a gift to grandparents!

So put on some Christmas music, grab your paints, and let the fun begin! Happy crafting!
